AD:ARCH is exploring the possibilities of using shipping containers as a building unit. There is a large supply of them nationwide, and they are inexpensive. This image shows two containers which act as an apartment and form a garage space below them. The steel structure provides outdoor space for the apartment. The garage is located in an alley in a typical St. Louis neighborhood.
